Hancock

Hancock is a superhero comedy movie but it isn't your typical slapstick humor, instead going for a less subtle humor such as name calling.  The first half of the film was fairly boring and it sets out to make Hancock an unlikable character.  Once Hancock meets Ray, who sets out to change his negative public image (as Hancock causes millions of dollars of damage whenever he fights crime) it gets more interesting.  He believes himself to be the only one of his kind but eventually we learn that is not the case.  However, this storyline doesn't fully develop over the course of the movie and we're left hanging with some mysteries.  The way the other person with similar powers revealed themselves was hard to believe as nothing really forced them to do it and there was no incentive.  The ending was predictable and disappointing in the fact that it didn't surprise us that much.  The story feels like it changes heavily when you compare to the believable plot of Hancock redeeming himself to the second half where it throws in backstory and his relationships.  It's not a horrible movie but it can get stale at certain points.
