Comments: The Hawkfile race continues but the focus is not on that. We follow Haruken in his tutoring role to the Princess (and also the vessel to the Eye of Rafael), which isn’t boring but it isn’t too interesting either. 07-Ghost falls into the trap of having some lame scenes in which it tries to be emotional, such as how Teito reacts when he sees Frau feeding. While the plot is exciting, the pacing is broken by a long flashback. It kills any sort of adrenaline that might have started building up and it’s just very annoying when that happens. Some of the fight scenes are hard to decipher exactly what poses the characters are striking. Otherwise, an enjoyable and fun read.
