Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

The sequel to the original Cats & Dogs takes on a completely new story, with a new cast (both humans, cats and dogs alike) and a new villain.  Whereas the original focuses upon the bond between human and dog, that's not the case here.  Humans take a step back and even though that might sound good on paper, it makes the film seems like it is lacking something.  The story is average but it is packed with a lot of action sequences, so even while the dialogue is not the most interesting, at least visually it keeps your attention.  The voice acting is good and the mixture of real animals with computer generated objects works well.  It's too bad the main villain is fully computer generated and thus looks a bit awkward.  The return of a character from the original is nice and ending is in character.  The climax of the film was messy and tried to go all-out but ends up being too much.  While not the best movie around and is not as original or fun as the first Cats & Dogs, it is not that boring and there are a few laughs to be had.
